Investor Questions
In recent years, we have observed many new eye clinics in Taiwan entering the refractive laser surgery market, making competition intense. What advantages does the Company have in facing competition from its peers? What is its current market share? How does it maintain its leading position?
Company Response
There are indeed a great many competitors in the market, and we are monitoring their developments closely. Our position as the market-leading brand over many years has built a strong moat for us. Our large customer base and word-of-mouth reputation give us bargaining power in procurement negotiations with suppliers, and we continue to introduce the latest medical technology, equipment and products to widen the gap with our peers. For example, in July 2025 we launched the EVO ICL (Implantable Collamer® Lens), a new-generation implantable contact lens that serves patients with thinner corneas and moderate to high myopia. It addresses the problem of some patients being unable to undergo laser vision correction, offering a safe, minimally invasive and reversible new solution, and our partner clinics are among the earliest providers in Taiwan to introduce it. This product has not only expanded the population we serve, but has also optimized our product mix and raised the average spend per patient. In SMILE-series refractive laser surgery, the mainstream procedure in the market, Universal Eye Clinics currently hold a market share of approximately 50–60%, ranking first in Taiwan with a considerable lead over our peers. We believe the leader will keep getting stronger, and we will continue to learn from others, reflect on ourselves, and keep improving.

Investor Questions
Regarding the Suzhou Taixue Eye Hospital currently in preparation:
Suzhou already has large ophthalmic healthcare institutions such as Aier Eye Hospital, and these competitors also offer self-pay medical services. What does the Company see as Taixue Eye Hospital’s specific competitive advantages over Aier?
The Company previously closed locations in China due to price competition and medical insurance policies. Why does the Company believe a Grade III self-pay hospital can avoid the same problems? Once operations begin, could further capital injections lead to losses that affect the core business in Taiwan?
Company Response
In East China, the Company's brand is positioned as refined, premium ophthalmic care, featuring warm and attentive service with a distinctly Taiwanese personal touch. We offer a range of premium, advanced surgical options with a focus on personalized care; our medical team consists of physicians from Grade III Class A hospitals and overseas-returned physicians, and our pricing is in the higher range. Our small yet refined model sets us apart from large local brands and hospital-scale operators (which offer modular, standardized services and options), and gives us the efficiency advantages of low capital requirements and a short payback period. Although the Chinese market has not yet fully recovered, revenue performance in recent months this year shows that market demand is climbing from the bottom. Once self-pay healthcare regains substantial growth momentum, the Company should still be able to secure a foothold in East China, where consumer purchasing power is higher.
The self-operated Grade III Class A eye hospital in Suzhou is a government-promoted project. Assessed in terms of its location advantages (a newly developed city + new customers), policy incentives (rent reductions), and strategic positioning (medical center), its operating costs and risks are significantly reduced, and the overall capital investment is also lower than for our previous new locations. We are cautiously optimistic about recouping the investment through future operations.

Investor Questions
Regarding its current cash management strategy, would the Company consider reducing its long-term bond holdings and shifting to money market instruments that are more liquid or more stable?
Given that market sentiment has been disrupted by non-operating factors, has management evaluated implementing a share buyback (treasury stock) program? This would not only demonstrate the Company's strong confidence in the profitability of its core business, but also substantively protect shareholders' equity and help stabilize the share price.
Company Response
The Company disposed of all of its U.S. bonds position in Q2 this year and invested in TSMC shares. The Company continues to maintain a high degree of flexibility in its cash management strategy and will make dynamic adjustments going forward based on the position in the interest rate cycle, the stability of operating cash flow, and capital expenditure needs, so as to enhance the stability and volatility resilience of its overall fund deployment.
The Company continues to use capital efficiency and the maximization of long-term shareholder value as its primary evaluation criteria. Considering the Company's current share price relative to its book value and its long-term profitability, giving priority at this stage to investing funds in core business development and growth investments will deliver greater benefits to the long-term returns of all shareholders.
